Life of an Undergraduate

By Malcolm | January 18, 2008

Dear ex-ACSians,
It’s time to be famous! Beginning year 2008, we would like to receive “letters” from former students to be published under the category “From The Oldies” of the ACS website. For a start we shall begin with the theme “Life of an Undergraduate” or “From being a student of ACS Sitiawan to an Undergraduate“.

Who can featured?
If you are or were an undergraduate before in any in any tertiary institute. It does not matter if you graduate or dropped out like Bill Gates.

Points to Write
The following are questions which could serve as a guideline to your article. We would appreciate if you can answer all 10 questions within your article. There is no limit to the length of your article.

1. Mind introducing yourself?
2. How long have you left ACS Sitiawan? Which year did you leave?
3. Tell me more about the course you’re taking.
4. What made you choose that course?
5. What are the qualifications needed to pursue that course?
6. Do you encourage students to take up the course?
7. What are the job prospects for your course? (skip this if you have not graduated)
8. Were you able to adapt to campus life? How is studying in ACS different from studying in college or university? Kindly elaborate on the journey from leaving ACS to your initial year(s) in your current institution.
9. Now that you are an undergraduate, what subjects or co-curricular activities in ACS have helped you in your studies? Why?
10. If you are given the chance to go back to the past in ACS, what would you like to do?

Acceptable Content

Last but not least, please pass the word around to ex-ACSians that they can be featured in the school’s website!

Thank you for your time. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Winnie and Malcolm

    Hie all….

Malcolm told me about this project. Its cool…not for me to become famous =p but to ensure a continuity of bond between ex-ACSians and current students, and for us old pupils to assist our little brothers and sisters who are still part of our dear alma mater.

I am from SPM class of ‘99 & STPM class of 2001. Been in ACS S’wan from Std 4 - Upp6. That’s a pretty long time…and my best years of being a student no doubt was during those days.

I will get back to answering the Qs posed here another day when I am free. Meanwhile, do feel free to check out http://www.drvolcanoe.com

And as for Doctor wannabes…a published article i wrote about 1yr ago.

Or my own graduating batch’s final day story…
